This was a spicy little tamale of a month. As if performing with The One Hour Plays and BattleActs at London Zoo every weekend wasn't enough, it was also the start of our summer festival season. First up was Latitude Festival - a beautiful fun filled arts festival that I can't recommend enough. Performing on the Literary Arena alongside the likes of Germaine Greer, Mark Thomas & Robin Ince was an absolute joy. The following weekend was Secret Garden Party and my very first time in attendance. Utter unbridled brilliance... with outdoor swimming pools... two of them! However, festivals only take up the weekend and in those free weekdays I started rehearsals for The Adventure with Bad Physics (performing at Edinburgh Fringe - 11am, 2pm, 5pm @ Pleasance Courtyard).
PS. I wrote a DISCUSS article for IdeasTap - hopefully I'll be writing more of these over the next few months. You can find it here: http://www.ideastap.com/ideasmag/all-articles/DISCUSS-working-with-children-and-animals-brendan-murphy
